DISTILLED WATER FROZEN CRYSTAL Not heated and then frozen for Microscopic Photography
Baseline Testing: Same batch of distilled water as used in producing figure 2, except that water was not heated prior to freezing. The ridges and crystalline structure are sharp and clear and we see a healthy looking crystal. The natural structure is defined.

DISTILLED WATER FROZEN CRYSTAL Heated and then frozen for Microscopic Photography
Why the difference? Same batch of distilled water as used in producing figure 1, except that water was heated in 8 ounce glass beaker inside a microwave oven to a temperature of 120 degrees. The ridges and crystalline structure are blurred and merged and the color begins to fade . The natural structure is deformed.
